Project Details

Bloodied But Unbowed chronicles the late ’70s, early ’80s Vancouver punk scene — a many-headed monster that rose in reaction to the toxic squalor of a mainstream culture hooked on big-hair bands and soul-sucking conservatism. It’s members embraced the dark wave of anger, independence, and music emanating from New York and London, taking over the forgotten spaces of a city still gaining its feet and filling them with sex, drugs, art, music, and attitude.

A tale of rebellion and music, it’s told by its surviving legends and wreaks of cheap beer, bad drugs, and loud living in a distinctly Terminal City way. Brutally honest and loaded with archival footage from those halcyon days of big hair and boat shoes, it’s about the music that raised the middle finger to the status quo and defined a generation of misfits and a snot-nosed city at the far side of a continent.

Featuring: Henry Rollins, Jello Biafra, Joey “Shithead” Keithley, Randy Rampage, Duff McKagan, Bob Rock, Zippy Pinhead, and many others.
